Electrostatic Dissipation (ESD) Testing
|
Undertake testing and surveying for the control of electrostatic energy, to comply with current standards.
We commence with a thorough visual inspection of the area to be tested, which will include the condition of floors, ASF (anti-static floor) locations, ASF connections, down conductors connections, metallic equipment, structural steel bonding and bus bar. A test is undertaken on a floor to ascertain that it complies with the relevant ESD standards and manufacturer’s specification. It is also evaluated whether the specified floor meets the client’s requirements for the given conditions and environment. The relevant standards are: - PDCLC/TR50404: 2003 Electrostatics – Code of Practice for the avoidance of hazards due to static electricity. National rules for electrical installations, fourth edition ET 101: 2008. The clients standard operating procedures and recommendations are adhered to.
